I recently was prescribed valtrex by a
local doctor for oral herpes. I don't
have insurance and i'm biting the bullet
on paying for it out of my own pocket.
The doctor was just at a local clinic so I
have no relationship with him and I have
come up with a question but I have no
desire to call and talk to him any further
(you can tell I wasn't fond of him haha).
Anyways, I was prescribed valtrex-500 mg
tablets. I was reading online that using
them for episodic treatment (since I want
to conserve them as much as possible) you
are supposed to take two doses of valtrex
1g tablets 12 hours a part and that's it.
Now my question is would I take 2 tablets
each time or is there a difference in each
pill due to the different about of
milligrams in each and this wouldn't work
because of how it's absorbed. Hopefully I
explained this as clear as possible.
Maybe i'm just overthinking this but this
seems to be a pretty accurate place to get
information from what i've read thus far.
Thanks in advance.
