Are these symptoms of MS? Posted: 10-20-06 11:22am
I was wondering if you would know anything
about a rubbery feeling lump on the nape
of my neck and it only protrudes out if I
bend my head backwards. It feels as if it
is connected to my spinal cord. Also, I
have symptoms of headaches, right side of
body tingles, blurry vision, hearing loss,
eye pain, problems getting my words out
when I know what i want to say to people.
Are these signs of MS and would they have
anything to do with the lump ?
Multiple sclerosis can manifest with many
different symptoms (including yours)
depending upon the location of the brain
lesions. MS can be confirmed with a
CT-scan of the head and an examination of
the cerebrospinal liquid derived from
lumbar punition. You can visit a
neurologist, ophthalmologist and
ENT-specialist for full-spectrum
examinations. It doesn’t seem likely
that your symptoms are related to that
lump on your nape. The lump can be
examined by a general surgeon.
