I've been having as rough time at
work/school lately, and i've noticed that
many people here where having problems in
the neck from this. Well, i've been
noticing that I have a lump in my throat,
just below my chin and suprising close to
my windpipe. It hurts to press down
on it, though its no bigger than my eye.
I have no trouble breathing, but I feel
pain when I turn my neck in certain
directions. Does anyone know if this
is stress related, or something else??
Thanks for your time.

Sounds Like a Lymph Node Issue Posted: 10-20-06 21:02pm
I just had a similar knot develop behind
my ear... It was very sore and appeared
out of no where. So I "googled" it and
found it was most likely a lymph node that
was enlarged due to some sort of infection
my body was fighting... I've had some
allergies recently.
It has already decreased by 80% in size in
a couple of days... The info I found said
it would remain there for some time until
all of the antibodies/while blood cells
dissipated. Or it may stay enlarged.
If you have had a cold, virus, allergies,
tooth ailments... Such things can cause
your lymph nodes to kick into gear.
If its been there a long time, see your
doctor. You don't want to mess around
with something that could be serious and
possibly delay treatment.
Best regards

Thanks for the advice. As a matter of
fact, I did have tonsilitis (excuse my
spelling), just a few weeks ago. Do you
think that may be the cause? I'll see if
I can schedual an appointment with my
docter if it gets worse, though. Do you
know if i'd have to take any medicine for
lymph nodes?
