Q: Accident and Injury at 33 weeks pregnant: will I Miscarry?

I am 33 weeks pregnant.
I was going to change a light bulb above the sink in my bathroom. I had one foot on the tub and was holding on to the towel rack as i reached up and was putting my other leg on the sink. The towel rack came out of the wall. The leg hit and slid off the sink. Then my lower belly hit and rubbed to my belly button. my leg is badly bruised and my belly button is a little soar. The baby did not move that night. About 20 hours latter she became active again. I did not go to the E R because there was 50 people taken that day to the hospital for the Norwalk Virus. What are the possibilities?

According to your description of the event that include surface injuries of the belly button and leg combined with a stable condition 20 hours after the accident (no cramps or vaginal bleeding), it seems to me that there are no injuries of the fetus and there is no threat for miscarriage. To be sure, you can always visit your gynecologist.
