I am so frustrated I want to cry, but I know it's just my hormones making me crazy.

I just got back from my 39 week appointment. I had to do another non stress test and it went well, except it seems like they crank the heat in that room. The paper on the table was soaked when I got up. Then I got checked and I was feeling good, feeling like i've made some major progress... She couldn't even reach my cervix to check me! It felt like she was up to her elbow in there and nothing. So she said that means my cervix isn't "ripe" and I shouldn't expect anything to happen anytime soon. I'm so upset. I just want him out. I'm so tired and uncomfortable. On a good note, they won't let me go past 40 1/2 weeks or so which is next friday-ish.

Oh, and ever since I left there i've been in a massive amount of pain. I could barely get into my car and it took me forever to climb the stairs at my house. Owww...

Well after being 1 cm dilated for 5 weeks, being more and more effaced every week, and having her drop into my pelvis for about 2 weeks now, nothing's happening here either.
I thought that would cheer you up knowing that even though you could have progressed, nothing may have happened anyway.
We're still waiting.
My Dr. Is willing to let me go to 42 weeks if I don't dialted any more, so consider yourself very lucky!
The doctor thought i'd have my baby by now, which is so frustrating. I wish he wouldn't have said anything.
Good luck, it'll be soon even though it feels so far away.

I know what you mean about the feeling that he will never come.. After being effaced 70% and dilated 1 cm for 2 weeks.. I feel like I should just give up all hope that he will ever come out... I have stopped trying to keep track of my contractions because I get more and more discouraged when they are clse together and then just stop I get me hopes up... They can't stay in there forever althought that is most certainly the way it feels! I hope everything goes well for you! I have a feeling I am going to be over due... I am due in 4 days and they won't do anything until I am 2 weeks over due so you are lucky...

The doctor thought I would have my baby by now which is more fustrating exspecially when he says "well I will see you next week if you are still pregnant"...Ugh... Sometimes doctors make me mad..

I told him my fear is that like my mom I won't dilate on my own any further then 1 cm.. And he said that it is more common now for people not to dilate and need the help of medication.. So why not just start the medicine...

Hope your little one comes soon!

I just posted on my thread wondering how far you were. I knew it was any day now!!!!

Oh girl, I know how you're feeling right now! It's great to know your doctor won't let you go over more than a few days past your dd though. Some doctors say "we'll see how everything goes"...... I hate when they say that.

So hopefully by next friday, you'll be holding your beautiful baby boy in your arms!!!

Oh, and I would love to see some bump pics Smile

It always seems like the last month is always the roughest with the hormones, anxtety, stress, being uncomfortable, waiting, wondering and worrying and then comes that wonderful day and after that no more sleep and you sit there and watch every breath that your baby makes and it is so great but they grow so fast but you love every minute of it!

sorry girls, there will be no bump pictures. Trust me, it's not a pretty sight. Nick really wanted some pics of me pregnant, he kept saying we need pictures of finn in the oven, but i'm so not happy with how I look right now so that's a no.

You need to take bump photos! Even if you don't show anyone you will regret it if you don't have any to look back on. Especially when your kids wanna see.

I didn't take any photos of me in hospital after having the babies and I really regret that now. Crying or Very sad

I think you should take a picture, date it, and then put it away somewhere. Or if it's digital, stick it in a folder somewhere on your computer.

You might not want to remember this now, but you probably will later on! And one day, little .Finn might ask you where he came from. It'd be nice to have a picture so you can point at your tummy and say "you were in there!"
