Spondylosis and spondylothesis: when can I expect a full rec Posted: 10-25-06 05:50am
i have been diagnosed with spondylosis and
spondylothesis in june of 06 and have been
to physical therapy since,i have been ok'd
back to work for light duty only,will i
recover 100% from these conditions,i have
a grade1 slippage of the L5(no surgery)i
have had 2 steroid injections and still
have severe pain in both knees ,tight
hamstrings and have had harsh back spasms
in which p/t needs to massage my back plus
at the end of p/t they use electronics to
soothe the muscles,my work wont allow me
back to work til i am 100%(workers
comp),and how long does this injury
usually take to recover from?...i look

According to your diagnoses (spondylosis
and spondylolistesis) ,it doesn’t seems
likely that you will recover 100%. Even
if you recover enough, you SHOULD avoid
hard work because physical stress and
bearing too much weight are factors that
add to the development and progression of
such chronic degenerative disease like
spondylosis. Treatment duration and
efficiency, in the case of spondylosis, is
individual and hard to predict.
