I am 38 year-old, male, married with kids,
my weight is 83kg=183lb and I am 172cm,
around 5'8.
I had an annual test and was diagnosed
with:
* liver enzymes
- alt 240 (should be <45.00)
- ast 86 (should be <36.99)
* rbc indices
- mcv 103 (range 80-97). I had this one
since last year which was 107
- mch 35 (27-32)
* cholestrol 6.10 (should be <5.19)
* blood in urine
hilgh level of als/ast are due to:
1- alcohol, drugs, medication,
hepatitis...None of these apply to me
2- fatty liver...Fatty liver apply to
obese people. Is that still a
possibility?
3- cancer. Is that a strong
possibility?
I am going for an ultrsound, and i'm very
worried.

as you said, a number of things can cause
elevated liver enzymes.
are you sure you don't take any
medications at all? It is pretty unusual,
but statins (cholesterol drugs such as
Lipitor) can occasionally cause abnormal
liver enzyme levels. do you take any such
medications?
