Hiatus hernias and [especially] stomach
ulcers can cause vomiting and abdominal
pain. Most often, however, diarrhea is
caused by an intestinal infection. If you
are vomiting so much that you can’t
import any water and salts into the body
by drinking, you will have to take water
and salts via supplementary therapy
through an intravenous line (IV infusion)
to prevent dehydration. If you are
vomiting this much, you won’t be able to
take the medicines for your stomach ulcer,
either. You can request anti-ulcer
medicines and painkillers, if necessary,
through the IV. You SHOULD go to ER if you
feel as badly as you describe.
