NuvaRing Insertion and Pregnancy Posted: 10-31-06 14:47pm
I am on the NuvaRing and I had my period
the week of the 16th. I was
supposed to put in a new NuvaRing on
Sunday the 22nd but didn't end up
putting the ring in until Monday the 23rd
at around 2pm. My husband and
I did have sex the week of the 23rd. Is
there any possibility that the
delay in putting in a new NuvaRing may
lead to a pregnancy? And if so,
what is the earliest I can take a
pregnancy test?
Thank you in advance for your help!

In your case after a one-day delay
inserting the new NuvaRing, there is a
very small possibility that you can become
pregnant. The earliest date you can take a
pregnancy test to check if you’ve become
pregnant, will be the 10th of November.
