Skull dent in occipitoparietal region Posted: 11-02-06 09:05am
My friend is a completely recovered
haemorragic strock patient.Followed by
strock she developed a skull dent in left
occipitoparietal region which is paining
on and off.what is the reason? Is it
create any problems in future? Help
us.
Hemorrhagic strokes can manifest for a
number of reasons and are attributed to
the following: arterial hypertension,
aneurism, vascular malformation, brain
tumor…I'll need to know more about the
cause of your friend's hemorrhagic stroke
to help you more. In general, a dent in
the skull can’t be attributed to
hemorrhagic stroke because hemorrhages
affect the brain and not the skull. Skull
dents, however, can be due to skull injury
(impressive skull fracture, for instance).
Your friend can go to her GP to examine
the skull dent and verify its presence and
seek treatment for the pain she is
experiencing.
