Pre-existing Clause, Much Like Marysunshine! Help!! Posted: 11-02-06 14:25pm
I just got a job offer(yea!). Bad news is
they do not have health insurance. It
should be in place by the beginning of the
year.
After speaking to them, I found out that
there may be a 12 month, pre-existing
clause. I don't know much about
insurance, so I asked them to explain a
bit more. To my understanding, they won't
pay for anything that you are being
treated for. I have been seeing a
psychiatrist for mild anxiety/depression
and recently add. It has made such a
difference to get it addressed! I do not
want to stop as I have just started to
make good progress.
Questions:
1. Do companies look down on or red flag
psych visits?
2. Do the conditions mentioned fall under
the clause?
Who has gone through this and what did you
do? The meds and visits are $$$.
Thanks in advance,

Pre-existing Conditions With Health Insurance Posted: 01-11-07 17:26pm
I avoided the situation by enrolling in a
discount health care plan at a fraction of
the cost of health insurance. They pay
nothing toward your bills; they just
provide discounts at their providers
(thousands throughout us). No one can
be turned down, and they don't care about
pre-existing conditions.
