Well i'm still leaking and went to the doc on wednesday. He gave me the choice of have a caesarian now (ie thursday, friday or on the weekend) or wait till monday and see if he's engaged to induce naturally.

(on monday his head was low, on wednesday it was really high - he's playing games).

So he said if it's high they have to do a c-section whereas if it's low they can induce me. I don't know why but i'm really scared of a c-section. I'm just worried that I wont be able to bond with lachlan straight away and i'll miss out on all of the first things - ie his bath etc.

.Sandra I know you had one and would love to hear your opinion and anyone else who had one!

I just pray that his head is engaged!!!!

I had a c-section with both boys.

I would have preferred a natural birth, but sometimes things don't work out as you would hope.

I breastfed both .Brian & .Jordan after. I didn't really feel like I had missed anything. Our bond was still there. That's the most important thing.

Don't worry, you'll have years to bath him lol but I do understand that you would like to be the first.
My husband and his father gave .Brian his first bath the same day he was born. I thought it was sweet! 3 generations Wink

Thanks mich. I just feel really depressed about it and I dont know why. I guess I had in my head the whole time that I would go naturally, and I still might for all I know. But the c-sec is definitely on the cards now. See how we go on monday I guess!

C-sections scare me. The idea of a c-section is scary, they look scary & painful (on tv atleast). I *really* hope you get to go naturally. You will definately be in my prayers!

Yeah I had a c-section.. Jacob adn I had no problem bonding. Ididnt breastfeed tho. But just holding him and feeding him.. Looking at him... Smelling him. It was a dream come true. I miss his smell. And his tiny hands... And barely there vocal cords lol...

You'll bond, hun. Whether u breastfeed or not. That baby has been inside ur body for the last 9 months.. Trust me, the bonding process is near completion as we speak.

And thats just a needle in the uterus... And what about the scare it leaves? I mean I dont even know how much they cut you open to take the baby out,, like is the scare huge? Where is it and stuff like that

I had an un-planned c-section, and for some reason it didn't bother me. I was able to see her as soon as they got her out, then after that they took the baby and my husband up to the nursery and she got her first bath, and my hubby fed her, and rocked her, etc....While I would have loved being there for all that, I felt that was an important time for her and my husband to bond, since she previously spent the past 41 weeks in my belly. (as .Sandra said!) but we bonded very well, and like .Sandra I didn't breastfeed. But in the hospital she was very calm when I held her, and if visitors had her, and she cried....They gave her back and as soon as I got her she quit crying and a lot of times just fell asleep on my chest.
But if I have a choice next time around, i'll probably go with the c-section. I had no problems with recovery either. The ride home wasn't the most pleasant experience, but after we got home it was all downhill from there. Smile

I have had 2 c-sections. I didn't get to see my son until the day that he passed away and it really scared me very much with my daughter because I thought that I might not get to see her right away, but I would have to say that it was wonderful, I breast fed and everything. I loved it....The only thing it was really hard because I couldnt' really feel much and I keept feeling like I was going to drop her. It wasn't until later that day that I really was able to feed her and everything.

I'd have to say that it was great.
