Is it rude to ask:
how old are you?
Are you with the father of the child?
Was the pregnancy planned?
I asked those questions here
http://ehealthfor
um.Com/health/topic76696.Html
and now I have someone hassling me about
them saying it's out of order.
They're even more annoyed because I
deleted the arguement they tried to start
with me about it.
Are those bad questions?

No it's not rude, because your advice
would differ based on the circumstances.

I agree with .Laura too. If they think
you or anyone else is rude, they shouldn't
be on here asking for advice. Of course
to give them the best advice you can, you
want to know what kind of situation you're
working with. You aren't rude, .Kia!

If it's relevant to the advice you will
give then it's not rude. Even if it's
not, I think it's just conversation
starters and not really rude. I don't
mind having questions asked about me.
People get offended by everything just for
the sake of being dramatic (i think).

Either that or they're embarrassed by the
answers. Which they shouldn't be. It's
not like we know them in person.

... Not rude, unless you're having your
neck chewed up for giving too much
information!
Wow!

Not rude at all. People are just too
sensitive.
Don't worry about it, .Kia. They're
probably just embarassed.

To clarify it is not the original poster
who is complaining but a random other user
who happened by the post
thank you all though.
I answered the original question then
asked those 3. As tanya said they open
conversation and the question of "when did
I likely conceive?" could easily have
follow on questions dependant on the
person circumstances.
After all any further advice would be
different to a married woman in a loving
stable relationship to that of a woman who
had had several one night stands and was
trying to work out who might be the
father...
Ah well nevermind.

Perhaps they thought you were just prying
or going to be judgemental? Like some of
the others said, it's possibly because
they are embarrassed.

Don't worry about it girl. How can you
give good advice if you don't ask
questions where it's needed?
