Isn't It Weird...? Posted: 11-05-06 14:29pm
Maybe it's just me, but... Do any of you
ever think about what would have happened
if things were different? If a different
sperm had made your baby? If you had
released a different egg? If you had
conceived a month earlier, or a month
later? You would have a completely
different person instead of the baby/child
you have now.
I look at .Alyvia when she smiles at me,
when she's talking nonsense to herself and
eating her hands, and I can't help
thinking how lucky I am that circumstances
were just right to make *her*, you know?
I wouldn't trade her for the world.
Does anyone else ever think of things like
this? Am I just nuts?

Yeah, I think stuff like that all the
time. I can't imagine that my son could
ever not have been (if you know what I
mean). His little stocky legs, his
beautiful long eyelashes, my gorgeous
wonderful little boy - would not be here
if we'd happened to not have had sex that
day.
God, it gives me shivers!

yup me too! Glad im not the only one lol
it is weird cos if any of it happened
differently, your baby might look
different, sound different, react
differently to things, like/dislike diff
things, different facial expressions etc
etc etc!!! I wouldnt wanna change
anything about lucas (ok ....Just wish
he'd sleep more lol)

I think about stuff like that all the
time.
What if .Chris hadn't of stayed the night
that one night?
What if .I hadn't of felt up to having
sex?
Our little miracle baby wouldn't be
punching me in the bladder right now.
It's so weird to think in terms of "what
if.."

I think like that, too. I try to cut it
off pretty quickly though, because I don't
want to get depressed. It is funny to
realize that you think like someone else
though!
