Ok well i'm 36 weeks, in one day I will be 37. My doctor is wanting to induce the day after I turn 38 weeks. She is wanting to do it because my baby is small. They have run tests and they say everything is fine with her. No problems or anything. I just don't understand why the doctor would want to induce if everything is ok. I am 5 feet tall, so it's no big suprise she is little. I really don't know what to do. I'm not sure if being induced is necessary. If anyone knows anything I would appriciate any information!!!! Thanks!!!

I'm not sure but perhaps they are worried that your placenta isn't working efficiently enough to provide her with all the nutrients she needs for growing? What reason did your doc give?

I would ask the dr why he feels this way, besides you being small or what he feels it has to do with it.

My daughter kept measuring small for the last 2 months of my pregnancy and they never mentioned anything about inducing me, i'm also 5 foot my son was 7lbs and my daughter was 6lb 1oz but she was 2 weeks early. Yeah if your not happy with being induced talk to your doc. Smile

I cant see them wanting to induce you because your baby is small, if anything they would want to keep the baby in there longer to get stronger, unless of course they think something is wrong with the placenta.. I would have asked why they want to induce

First of all, it's rude to post on another person's topic with your own subject. Start a new one.

Is it possible? If you own a vagina and ovaries and have any kind of sexual contact where sperm are introduced into your vagina, of course it's possible. Your age has nothing to do with it if you've begun to ovulate. Your height and weight also have nothing to do with it.

If you're not ready for a baby, I suggest you don't have sex. But if you insist on having sex, make sure to use protection every time. Just know that protection isn't 100% guaranteed.
