Q: What Does Labour Feel Like?

Hey ladies, I havent been online in a while ..I would like to know what labour feels like? Does it feel like sharp stabbing pains in your vagina? Ive been having these sharp pains for hours now especailly when i'm standing.....Please help me!!!

I didnt feel anything in my vagina until I was pushing and when he came out....

Labor feels like period cramps from hell.

When your babe drops it shouldnt feel like sharp pains, just a lot of pressure down there.

yeah mine felt like alot of pressure down there.. But I dont know maybe shes differnt? I unno

your best bet is probably calling the doctor..

I had sharp pains in my crotch when my cervix was effacing.

Contractions feel more like abdominal cramps that radiate around to your back.

Emma, if you are ever concerned, call your doctor. No question is a 'dumb' question - especially if you are concerned. Wink

it could be labor. Labor is different for everyone.

i had the same sharp stabbing pains in my vagina for many weeks before I went into labor. Especially while turning positions in bed.

I had the stabbing pains things before the labor. Labor to me felt like my cramps took steroids and my guts were being gripped in a vise and then stretched out like a rubber band about to pop. That's why I took the epi. Laughing

Jess just got your email...Ill save ur number and keep you and mel posted....

The pains have stopped and yes, im going to ask my Dr. Tomorrow what its all about....

I know labour pains are mostly abdonimal pains but you never know I could be a weirdo and feel only those rotten annoying stabbing pains...

Ill keep you all posted.
