I am thinking of using a nitric oxide
supplement, but am worried about the
effects it could have on my heart. I work
out 3-5 times a week, and get my heart
rate up a bit, and I do do some cardio
work (but with a torn ACL, waiting for
surgery ) its not to intense. I have had
some pain in my chest, but it feels lower
and to the left of my heart. No problems
with pain in arms, neck, no problems
breathing, ect as usual with heart
problems. My father has had two splints
put in, and an uncle has had a heart
attack, so I know it runs in my family. Is
this pain something I should get checked
out, and is taking this nitric oxide
(naNOx9) supplement a smart choice? Thanks
for any info/sugestions.
According to your weight and height you
are overweight. Obesity is one of the risk
factors for developing coronary heart
disease. You also have family risk for
developing coronary heart disease given
your brief family medical history. It
seems likely that you don’t need a
nitric oxide (naNOx9) supplement. Rather,
a dietary regime and physical activity
will help you decrease your body mass.
Stop smoking (if you smoke)!
You can also visit your primary health
provider to check your blood pressure,
blood cholesterol and blood sugar levels,
which are very important risk factors for
developing coronary heart disease when
they are high.
