I'm 19 and I had ovarian cancer last year.
I had a tumor the size of a foot ball
that was covering my ovary. But they
caught it before it spread anywhere else,
I lost one oary but I am cancer free.My
question is will it come back?

a tumor the size of a
football? For it to be that size wouldnt
it need to be in the later stages of the
illness?
You're only 19? Wow.. Thats terribly
young. You're bearly even an adult. I
didnt think that was even possible.

My mother died of ovarian cancer when I
was ten congrats for passing it up, your
in my prayers for your chance last year.
Im amazed they were able to save your
other ovary considering the size of a
football tumor would put you almost at
risk of getting it again. Let alone I
would of thought it would have been
touching the other ovary...My prayers are
with you, as for the others who think you
may have cancer, its a simple check with
your gyn, if your worried and concerned
and in pain and freaking out, go have labs
run, get an u/s done, get a ca-125 done,
there are things to be done to reassure
you that you do not have cancer, and more
than likely like me have pcos or endo and
your periods are just wacked out and
running on estrogen timing or progestrogen
and wacked out hormones and ovarian cysts
that need to go away!! Lol...We all
stress out during our cycles which will
trhough our bodies out of wack, we over
eat sleep and exercise or under do those
things wich in turn throws our bodies out
of wack as well....So please check with
your doctors and tell them whats been
happening and check into your family
history and record your menstral cycles
and let them know about your problems, and
yes talk to your parents about the
possiblity of birth control for the sheer
fact that it could potientaly help your
hormones and decrease the risk of of
harmful diseases!

I am 45 and have been having trouble the
last year...3 weeks ago I had some test
and an ultrasound and today the doctors
office called me and told me they found
something on my left ovary they are
concerned about...I have to go have a
catscan and another test at the hospital
thursday morning...I was wondering what
your symptons were...I have had some
severe bleeding and clots...Sharp pains in
my lower abdomin ..My periods were very
regular for years and last only about 4
days....But the last year they have very
irreagular and severe cramps where I
haven't had cramps in many years..And they
are lasting 10 or 12 days at a time....I
am even having 2 peroids a month
sometimes.....I feel very blotted all the
time....Even when i'm not on my period....
Can you tell me what symptons you had
before you were diagonsed

Ca 125 Posted: 05-01-06 00:46am
Request a ca 125 test from your
gyno!!!!!!!!!! This test could literally
save you months, years of your life. My
mother got it taken too late but she still
lived for two and a half years after being
diagnosed. Get it done! It is only a
blood test. 35 or below is norma. It
is not 100% accurant but it is something
to start with. Take care
