Just Found Out Im Pregnant... Posted: 11-08-06 18:48pm
Hiya ladies, few of you on here already
know me, but I may aswell introduce myself
to everyone.
Im 18 and just found out that im 4 and a
half weeks pregnant, and its come as a
massive shock cause I really wasnt
expecting it.
The baby's father has already told his
family. I met them and theyre all fine
with it and are really supportive. So
thats ok.
Thing is I havent told my family cause I
know hey will kick my butt. I need some
suggestions of how to tell them??
And for the past week...Sorry to be
blunt....But ive had brown, only when I
wipe not even enough for a sanitary towel.
Im a little concerned and have asked
elsewhere and people have told me its
implantation bleeding. But would it be
red? Not brown
has anyone else had this? And should I be
concerened?
Is anyone else 4 weeks-ish??
How far gone is everyone?
Well thanks for reading I know its long

Hi i'm .Whitley! 17
yrs old and 30 wks pregnant with a little
girl!
I don't know about the brownish bleeding
you're talking about. I had some brownish
blood & irregular bleeding up until
about my 17th wk & everything ended up
being fine. I would ask my doctor about
it if I were you. Don't be afraid to tell
your parents. I was .T.E.R.R.I.F.I.E.D to
tell my mom, but she's been extremely
supportive and .I think me being pregnant
has brought us closer together. The
sooner you tell them, the better they will
take the news. If they are mad at first,
give them some time to warm up to the
idea. Knowing that "hey, my baby is
having a baby" isn't something easy to
deal with, especially at first. Good luck
with telling your family & .I hope
your pregnancy goes well!

Hi cherry omg I have spoke to you a few
times on the other forum. This really
must be a shock for you. I'm not
pregnant, sadly I lost my baby but I would
of been due on 8th jan.
As for the brown blood, I have had that a
bit with all my pregnancies. I'm sure it
is old blood but if you are concerned
maybe you should speak to your midwife.
I'm pretty sure you are from the uk right?
Have you spoke to your gp yet?
I think as long as it is not alot of blood
and/or cramping you should be ok.
Congratulations though

Im really sorry to hear about you losing
the baby I had no idea??
How are your other two doing?
Ive had a bit of cramping but not alot,
and its not flowy bleeding just a little.
Im a little concerned and I dont have a
midwife or number yet to ring! And im
making a gp appointment tomorrow. What
will happen at the appointment?
And yeah im from the uk. South
actually.
And thanks whitley..Im really cr*pin my
pants about telling my mum most of all!
The only thing thats a sorta plus is she
had me at 16. So she cant be hypocritical
about it??
Oh I dont know im just really really

I'm going to be fairly blunt here, because
let's be honest from the start, ok?
Having sex and not using any type of birth
control (as per your past posts) will
cause pregnancy. That is not 'shocking'.
That is 100% expected. So your
'shock' at your pregnancy seems a bit over
the top in this instance. Especially
since you have been pregnant before. You
know how you got in that postition.
As far as the brown bleeding, it probably
isn't anything to be concerned over. Many
women bleed early in the pregnancy. If
you ever feel crampy or the blood is
bright red or full of clots, please
contact your doctor immediately.

Yeah she can't be *too* hypocritical about
it then. Moms are usually pretty
understanding though. Don't be scared!
Everything will be fine! My mom can't
wait until my daughter is here. I think
she might be more excited than I am lol!!

Layla and logan are fine- just keeping we
up at night though lately
. I broke up with my hubby so i'm doing
it alone but i'll be ok.
This is a great link to what will happen
at your first appointment: I would paste
it but its going to take up lots of space

ok firstly thanks for replying, and
secondly. I havent ever said that I wasnt
using any type of contraceptive, cause I
did, it just failed me.
I dont really want to be questioned about
my last pregnancy because alot of things
have happened since then and I cannot dwel
on the past, but look forward to the
future with my baby. Hence forth why I
didnt mention it before.
Sorry to rant, but I did take everything
you said in the wrong way. Pardon me if
you didnt mean it in that way. Im only
here for advice, and to talk to other
pregnant teen mums. Not a bashing. But
everyone has their own opinions, but I
would explain myself to you but I wont.
As you said youve read(and mislead) some
of my posts, so if you wanna go back and
read them thoroughly. Then be my guest.

So I guess you were referring to yourself
the other day in the pregnancy forum and
not "your friend" that was spotting...Why
not just be honest? Its not like any of
us know you in person anyway.
Good luck.

Firstly congratulations. You need to tell
your parents, they will probably be a bit
funny about it at first but its better
they find out know from you then later
from someone else. I don't know your
parents but i'm sure (well I hope) they
will be supportive of you even if it takes
them a little while to get used to it. 18
isn't a bad age to have a baby, I thinif
you were 13 or whatever then it'd be
different (though your parents should
support you no matter what) its s good
thing that your bf's parents are
supportive. Hope it all works out for you
in the end.

Hey!!! My name is kezia and I am 18 years
old as well. I am 20 weeks and 2 days
pregnant with a baby boy!!! I was scared
when I told my family to but I went ahead
and told them when I first found at when I
was 6 weeks along. I think telling them
sooner than later like everyone said would
be better but thats up to you. We still
have to pick a name for him, thats what we
are working on now lol, it's hard!!!
Anyway just wanted to say hey and congrats
on the baby!!!

From my experience the best thing to do is
relax and just tell them, my mum was
suspecting I was and just needed the
confirmation. My parents are now ok about
my pregnancy not great but I wasn't
expecting miricles i'm 15 and dom's
parents hate me but i'm just glad it's not
the other way around. I'm 8 weeks aong by
the way

Congratulations and welcome to ehealth!
I'm shauna, 20 years old with a 2 year old
daughter (danica) and expecting my second
child november 30th (don't know the sex
lol). I live in canada with my common-law
boyfriend.
As for the brown stuff, I would say its
pretty safe. If u had bright red blood or
crampings coming with it then I would get
it checked out but brown is a sign of old
blood so its possible tha it could be
implantation bleeding.
