How many ultrasounds has everyone else
gotten or how many are yall going to get
to have. I'm only getting 2 that I know
of and i've already had one. I had one
when I was 19 weeks and 3 days and I asked
when I would be getting another one at my
last app. And they said not until about
35 to 38 weeks to check how big the baby
is. I thought I got more than that. I
guess not.

My friend, .Kennedi, whose baby girl was
just born (i'm her godmother, so I went to
all the appointments with her) had four
ultrasounds! Maybe it's just different in
some places for some doctors?

My step-moms friend does ultrasounds so I
might sneak off to her just to see him
every once in a while.

It's all through your insurance.
I had 2, but only got one(from insurance).
I had to pay for a 2nd sex determination.
And I didn't make it to my 38week
ultrasound(provided by insurance).
The better the insurance, the more
ultrasounds.

I have had 4. I had one at 9 weeks, 17
weeks, 23 weeks, and I had one yesterday
at 37 weeks. I don't think most
women get that many though. I'm not sure
of the average.

I was only supposed to have one but ended
up with 3. I had the first one around
19-20 weeks (which .I was supposed to
have). Then .I had two at the very end
of my pregnancy because .I went 9 days
over due. Like everyone else said, every
doctor and insurance is different.

I only get 2 or 3. I had one done at 6wks
because they wanted to make sure .I was
definitely pregnant since it was so
unexpected, &.I'm having one done at
22wks on .Monday... &then .I may get
one more to measure baby really close to
the end. But .I think .I may only get 2.

I had four. I think it actually depends
on how many your doctor determines that
you need. I had one at 6 wks to make
sure the pregnancy wasn't ectopic, then I
had one at around 20 wks, 1 around 36 wks
and 1 the day before I went into labor.

I had 8 I think because if my prevous
complications.
It does all depend on the insurance and if
you have had or having complications
during any of your pregnancies.
Including this one.

My insurance only pays for two. I got one
at 20 wks & i'm getting another one at
34-36 wks. I wish I could have one
everytime I go to the doc, but they are so
expensive! A little over $500.

I had to pay exctra for another sex
determination(because I didn't believe
that it was a boy.....And it wasn't!
)
but it was only 50 dollars.
For an ultrasound it was around 300. He's
cheap compared to others though!!

If the dr feels that it is necessary to
have more than one and your insurance will
not pay they will generally give you a
break on the cost especially if you do not
have a lot of money coming in and have a
lot going out for bills.

Ive had 2 so far and im pretty sure im
getting at least 2 more
first was through a non profit
organization thing that does pregnancy
testing free (went there cause my ob
doesnt see you until your 12 weeks) then I
just had my first appointment (12 weeks)
on thursday adn had another one
she told me id have one to determine the
sex in 2 monthes and then (im not sure
about this one, but ive been told its
routine) one at the end to see the size
and position and whatnot
but I may end up having more because ive
got decent insurence and the ob has the
ultrasound machine ight there in the
office so its not a big deal, its not like
I have to schedual another appointment
elsewhere or anything

I was only supposed to have one (at 18
weeks) but I had another at 37 weeks to
check his size due to minor complications
and one more the day of my induction, so I
had 3.

I had one, at around 16 weeks.
My private insurance covers them, so $$$
isn't an issue.
My doctor wants me to have at least
another, but my midwife doesn't feel it's
necessary.
So, as long as everything continues to go
smoothly, I won't have anymore.

Not to change the subject or anything but
.Taya I like your little friend that you
have with you in your avatar! They are
such sweet babies! I am an animal lover!
I have an .Irish .Wolfhound a hound mix
and a 24y/o kitten(at least she thinks she
is a kitten as she acts like one).

A 24 year old cat? I've never had a cat
before so I don't know anything about
them, but isn't that freakishly old for a
cat?

Lol, yes it is. Most cats live anywhere
in between .I'd say like.. 14-18 years..
&18 years is considered ancient for a
cat! Chris's cat, .Peaches, is almost 10,
&she's already like an old woman.
