alexa..Yeah well i've gained a little bit too much weight through this pregnancy. I also think he's going to be a big boy because I was 8lbs 3oz when I was born and the dad was 9lbs 11oz. So yeah big baby I think.

Well I am 27 weeks today and the doc said at my last app which was on the 6th of nov. That he weighed about 3 to 3 1/2 lbs. I've gained about 30lbs so far. My doc says it's too much but I eat healthy and everything. I do eat a lot though.
Sorry to hear about your situation shortfroggy. I'm praying for you and hope for the best.

well he thinks its too much, are u excerising to, cause I hear and read that walking daily helps, make the delivery a lot better... ? U can loose weight while ur pregant right, I doubt it harm the baby as long as u stay at the ideal weight gain for the baby ? "i am trying to learn a lot !" so if I get something wrong, let me know ...Lol

Well I didn't really exercise too much in the beginning but now that i'm getting further along I am starting too. You should really start in the beginning but I didn't. I have cut back a lot eating. I would just get bored and eat but i'm not doing that anymore. I go back to the doctor tuesday and hopefully my weight will be better. I'm not sure about losing weight during pregnancy. I know that some people lose weight during the first trimester because they're always sick but I never really had morning sickness. (knock on wood) yes I hear that excercising will make the delivery better. I really want to do like little exercises at home but i'm not sure what I can do but i've been walking.

You really shouldn't try to lose weight while you're pregnant but changing your eatinghabits to healthier ones is fine, as long as you are getting enough calories and vitamins.
Amnl - you do not look at all fat so don't worry about it. Walking is excellent exercise during pregnancy, though, as is swimming.

I was reading an article about weight in pregnancy and it said that it is actually safer to be overweight than to lose weight during pregnancy. Think about it... When your body burns fat, it releases toxins into the bloodstream, these toxins can be quite harmful to the baby if absorbed in large amounts (like burning more fat than you're taking in). I'll google and see if I can find the page I saw.

yes I was reading an article in the cleveland clinic newsletter that explained that when your body burns fat, the chemicals (they used the word toxins) that are released get into the bloodstream and are harmful to the fetus if absorbed in large anounts. I tried to find the article on the cleveland clinic website but I couldn't find it. I live near cleveland (20 minutes west on i-90) so I get their newsletter in the mail monthly.

They were simply pointing out that if you are already overweight or have gained too much weight during pregnancy, you should not diet while pregnant.
