Hi everyone,

i'm new and wanted to introduce myself.

I was on another forum, where I met some great people. However, I was turned off because of what I felt to be some disrespectful comments. Hopefully the posters in here know the limit between having an opinion and being rude!

I look forward to getting to know the other prego women in here, and the non-pregos too. Smile

i am 21 weeks along and just started showing last week. I love the pregnant belly. So adorable. We won't find out the gender of the baby since my midwife feels that a second ultrasound is not necessary. It's cool though because I think yellow and green clothes are just as cute as blue or pink for babies. And the surprise should be exciting.

So far i've felt healthy and energetic, and can't wait for my sweetheart to join the world. The father is a wonderful person and very supportive, although i'm not sure if we will continue a relationship. I've broken up with him, but we're still very close and intend to live together once the baby is born. Confusing huh? I know. Also, he is living in another city on the other side of the country. I moved to a new city for a new job just 3 months ago, so I don't know alot of people here and am still adjusting.

I'm an economist and I work for the government. I like it, but most of all I like the fact that I get a year of paid mat leave once the baby comes. The father is still doing his phd, so the finances will be mostly my responsibility for the next few years. I don't mind. I've always enjoyed being independent and I like a challenge.

Okay, i'm done blabbing. Talk to y'all later.

Welcome! We have the occasional drama here but for themost part everyone is great. You'll find this place to be quite addictive!

I'm bridget and I just had my first baby on november 3rd, his name is finn and you'll be seeing plenty of pics of him!

Do you have any names picked out yet?

if it's a boy we'll name him malcolm (not my top choice, but it means alot to the father since it's his brother's name)

if it's a girl we'll name her maya

congrats on the new little guy!

thanks. My hormones don't seem out of whack. I'm still the same crazy person i've always been. But my bf and friends say that i'm the most stable pregnant woman they've ever seen. I actually think it has calmed me down alot. I was also lucky because I didn't have morning sickness or any of the other symptoms. (knock on wood)

the hardest part has been that i'm alone. I just moved to ottawa for the new job and I don't know a single person here. Thankfully I have alot of friends in montreal, just 1.5 hours away. So I visit them and they visit me. My bf also came down to visit once, and I flew to see him last week. We will spend christmas and new years together (we booked 2 nights at the ritz carleton in montreal over new years. I'm so excited)

i'm not really lonely, and i'm quite happy all the time. I sit at home alot and watch t.V., but i'm always laughing to myself. I just feel like a bit of a loser sometimes because i'm used to having alot of good friends around me and having alot going on in my life. I am craving drama and excitement. I've also never had a 9-5 job and it's more routine than I would like. But I will enjoy the quiet time while it lasts because once the baby comes, i'll be begging for a break! Smile

i am really sorry about the stress and pain you must be going through with your son going off to iraq. Hopefully america will pull out soon and he will be back safe and sound at home. In the meantime, my thoughts are with your family at this time.
