Have Raynauds And Many Symptoms of Lupus, But Test Neagative Posted: 11-12-06 11:18am
My symptoms started over a year ago:
fatigue, raynauds, joint pain and locking
joints, hair falling out, ect. About
4mths ago my primary doctor finally sent
me to a rheumatologist, she ran test for
lupus but they came back negative. She
is having me come back in another 2mths
for more tests. Is it possible to test
negative and still have lupus? Any
suggestions of what to do to help relieve
symptoms?

Do you have relatives who might have lupus
that didn't know they have it? Always
keep in mind that lupus can flares up at
any time. It's all hormone. My mom have
lupus during menapause. So it can happen
to anyone at any time. Be prepare to have
good health insurance cuz you'll need it.
Buy life insurance if you haven't cuz once
you diagnose with this disease it is
consider to be pre-existing condition and
it would be very hard to buy insurance
later on.....

I think it's a good idea to go to your
rhematologist every year, even if u don't
have any flares up yet or even if ur
tested negatives or positives with no
flares up....Cuz positives or negative
results can be shows up later on in the
future. You might test negative now, but
in the future, if u test it again, it will
show up positive n vice versa. Go see
your obgyn or endocrine to test hormone
chemicals. Body hormone is the key, it
can be depletion without knowing it..And
not many obgyn or other specialists
doctors know much about lupus.....Not many
doctors know about lupus when they are
going to medical school......Lupus is very
mysterious disease.....
