If I am bleeding during my second week of pills (i've been on them for almost a year) is it still safe to have unprotected sex? I've been taking my pills everyday.

I would think so....Don't take my word though. Ortho sometimes messes with your cycle. Have you always been bleeding through your second week? And when did you start your period? On the green sugar pills?

I started my period while on my first blue week. See, I skipped my green pills and went straight to my next pack so that I wouldn't have a period. That didn't work out too well. I got one anyway. I've still been taking all of them though. I'm currently on my last week of blue pills and the bleeding has almost stopped. I'm debating whether I should try to go directly to a new pack again since i've already been bleeding for so long, or whether I should take the green pills and wait it out.
