Q: When does Pregnancy Show?
asked by: DoctorQuestion on November 13th, 2006
Is it too early to be showing in the 15th week to only my family and friends? Most people don't notice...I really thought i'd show later. I started out a size 6. (135 pre-pregnancy)

Pregnancy Answer A1873
A visible pregnancy depends upon the fetus’s sizes and the mother's appearance before pregnancy. If the fetus is small or the mother has larger amounts of fat tissue on her abdomen, it will be harder to notice if the woman is pregnant or not. You may request an ultrasound examination at your obstetrician's office to check if the fetal size corresponds to the average pregnancy age, or not.
