Well I just got home from my non-stress
test and I am as frustratd as ever... My
blood pressure read 159/87, 171/101, and
174/107.... Well the nurse called the
doctor on call in my practice and she had
her change the cuff and they read it again
at 145/81.... They sent me home and
blamed the readings on the
cuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are they
ridiculous!?!?!? If something bad
happens to me or the baby, i'm suing for
malpractice!!!

Nothing is going to happen to you or your
baby. You will be ok. You just need to
relax. If they think that you have a
problem they wouldn't have sent you home.

I know we're ok... I'm just releasing my
frustration
.....I'm angry b/c this temporary doctor
"strongly disagrees with inductions"
(<---her words) and my doctor wanted to
talk to me about an induction b/c my blood
pressure spikes to dangerously high
levels.... I don't want to be
induced........... However, if my doctor
thinks it's necessary, I don't think that
the other doctor should ignore me when I
try to ask about it or when my blood
pressure goes so high... My blood
pressure has been elevated for weeks now
.... I just want
to see my real doctor... I'm sick of the
run-around the "fill-in" is giving me....
I was supposed to be getting induced next
week but the fill-in doctor won't even
talk to me about it. I'm just upset b/c
it's not like this high blood pressure
just started, it's been high like this for
weeks and I feel like this doctor isn't
doing what my doctor asked while he's out
of town.... I can't wait until he gets
back into the office monday... I'm just
so scared that i'm developing
preeclampsia.... You'd think with the
spikes in my blood pressure today she
would have at least asked for a urine
sample to test for protein, but she didn't
... I know the routine... My doctor
always makes me give a urine if my blood
pressure goes higher than 140/90 today it
was in the 170's/100's.......

Call and set up an appointment with your
regular Dr. Monday and try to relax, I
know it is easier said than done as this
is not helping your b/p and at anytime you
should be able to go to your hospital and
get your b/p taken. Are you still
working? It could be possible about the
b/p cuff but my opinion and I am not a dr
is that they should have waited a few
minutes and taken it again with the newer
b/p cuff. If you don't feel right call
them and ask them about getting a
urinalysis to see if their is protein in
your urine. I agree with .Gen I think
and hope you will be okay but if you are
that worried you should get it checked out
because it does not help your b/p and all.

going to make sure it's for a day when I
can see my real doctor.

My manager at .Mcdonalds was due... Hmm..
Sunday I think, she went to the doctor
and shes at a 3 now and feels *horrible*
and the doctor said "see you december 2nd"
that's when her next appt. Is, how crappy
is that?

Hey hun. I feel for u. I had high blood
pressure at 37 weeks, same highness ( dont
know if thats a word :p) as you, and I was
induced 3 days after my doc. Visit I had
to go straight to hospital from the doc
office tho. And they tried a cervidal and
that didnt get me into hard labour so I
got the drip and had 4 hrs of labour and 4
pushes in 8 min and he was out! So
hopefuly u do great too with being
induced! Good luck!

Last night when I got finished with my
youth night at work, I was talking to the
woman whose group rented our gym... Well,
she was telling me about her dil who has
the same doctor as me. Well, the story
goes.... Her dil went in for a routine
visit for 38 weeks at 3:00 in the
afternoon and her bp was high (not as high
as mine though, only in the 140's/80's) so
Dr. Masri (our doctor) said that she
needed to come in that evening at 8:00 to
be induced. When she went in, he put
something on her cervix (???) to start
dilatation (she was only 1 cm and that's
what I am) and then the next morning at
6:00 am he started her drip! I am supposed to
see my doctor on monday so we'll see!
