Should pregnant get flu shots? I have heard some say yes and some say no. Has anyone had the flu while being pregnant? Thanks for any info

Yes, they are fine during pregnancy. I had one during my pregnancy and my daughter was just fine. They actually recommend pregnant women get a flu shot.

Talk to your doctor, but the other posters are correct, a flu shot is fine for pregnant women.

I was pregnant last year during flu season and had a flu shot. They say that pregnant women getting the flu is more dangerous then getting the flu shot.

My doctor asked me if I was asthmatic. I said no, and he said I would be fine without it.
I'm guessing that's because my longs would be able to fight the flu?
But pregnant women and babies over the age of 6 months are recommended to get a flu shot!

I'm asthmatic and had the flu jab when I was pregnant with my son, on the advice of my doctor. My son was fine.
As pooh-bear said, the risks to the baby are weighed up against the risks to the mother.

I didn't get one (i also didn't get a cold or the flu while preggo) but it's safe. It's actually recommended that you get one while preggo.
