Feeling Ovulation
Posted: 11-16-06 01:29am

Just wondering how many ladies out there can feel ovulation. For me its a small cramping on one side or the other. (although on #4 our current pregnancy was a bit more than normal.) :d I first felt it when I was 15 now 26. Heard not many women feel it, so just wondering what you wonderful ladies experience.

Yes I can.. I get a slight discomfort on one side or the other.. Its kinda feels like something is slightly pushin.. Not so much cramping..Lol but yes I do feel it.. I feel it more now than I did wheni was younger.. Im still young though 21! Im pregnant now so we'll see if I can feel it more once the baby is born

Before I was pregnant I used to feel it most months. For me its like a really painful stinging/cramping pain on either side. It would last upto 2 hours, i'd have to sit or lay down it was that painful, and take a painkiller. None of my friends get it like that, I dunno why I do but it sucks Confused Some months it was less painful and didnt last as long.

What is the pain caused by tho? Is it when the egg is released from the ovary, or when its in the fallopian tubes, or does no one really know exactly...

Yeah i've had this ever since I had my baby. I always knew when I was ovulating before I had my son because I would get super horny (tmi!) but after I gave birth it was accompanied by a griping, sore pain in one side or the other.

I saw a gynaecologist and he told me the condition is called mittelschmerz, which means 'middle pain' I think, because it occurs mid cycle.

Nope I never feel mine, would be a hell of alot easier if I could lol!!!

Mind you saying that I havent ovulated in mths that could explain the problem! Lol

it worried me too but the gynae said it's nothing to worry about and the only thing to stop it is to use hormonal contraception that prevents ovulation basically! I'm on the mini pill at moment and haven't noticed any pain but I still get extra horny mid-cycle so who knows?! My hubby doesn't complain... Rolling Eyes
