Bipolar:can It Appear As a Result of Something Else? Posted: 11-17-06 00:46am
I wonder if it's always there, or can
start at any age? Could it come from a
lengthy bout of untreated
depression/stress and learning
disabilities like processing disorders?
Does it drive people to illegal drugs if
they don't get help? Does that seem
common?
This is popping in where an adolescent
previously struggled with processing and
responding with any degree of accuracy.
yes biopolar can start and any age but is
most commonly diagnosed when people are in
the mid 20’s. This may be because the
symptoms are easier to determine.
many people with the bipolar illness self
medicate with alcohol or other drugs.
As you can read from the link above, a lot
of people that have the illness don’t
always recognize the signs of mania and
depression. Scientists believe the
disorder is genetic.
