Can you stop your birth control mid way
through your pack so that you start your
period, or do you have to wait for the
placebos???

You can extend your pack all you want, but
you must not shorten the pack!
If you shorten your pack you will risk
pregnancy.

How many times are you going to ask the
same question girl?
so long as
you have taken at least one full pack of
"real" pills you may stop and take the
placebo pills.
lets use an example.
You want to delay your period (withdrawl
bleed) for a week.
So you take all the real pills in pack one
as normal, then you skip the placebo pills
and start in on the real pills of pack
two.
You do not have to complete all the real
pills of pack two before you stop and take
the placebo pills instead.
After the 7 placebo pills you then start a
new pack of real pills.
You may continue with all the real pills
in pack two if you wish, before starting
the placebo's.
however, if you have been taking the pills
normally so you had 21 real pills then 7
placebo's and have started the next pack
you must take 21 real pills before
stopping and taking the placebo's
you couldn't say stop on day 17 of the
real pills and then take the placebo's as
you would lose your protection and would
need to use a barrier method (ie condoms)
until you had been taking the real pills
for 7 consecutive days.

Thanks for the help. The reason I had
asked again was because you said I could
do either as long as I had taken a full
pack, and I wanted to make sure it was
safe by getting other opinions.

Then expand in the same post instead of
making lots of posts on the same topic

Sorry, I am new to the forum and was
having trouble posting a reply so I just
wrote a new question, don't see why it
makes a difference.

Because people ignore multiple posts so
you get less response.
You've had both myself and carifairy tell
you the same thing. Carifairy even works
in family planning.
