Maybe this is a really dumb question, but why do you have to take prenatals on an empty stomach, or with a small meal?

Mine make me sick if I take them on an empty stomach.

If they make you feel sick .I'd take them with a small meal! Although .I don't take prenatals. My doctor just told me to take .Flintstones vitamins, since .I can't swallow big pills &my pharmacy doesn't have chewables. Cool

I've never heard that you need to take them on an empty stomach. My prenatals made me sick no matter when I took them (and made my pee green!) so I switched to a multi-vitamin, a calcium supplement, and folic acid.

That's exactly what .I do, .B! My prenatals that they tried to make me take were so huge &made me so miserable. I couldn't even swallow them. I had to like, cut them up, &it was retarded.

Yeah right on the label it says take on an empty stomach 3 hrs after a meal or 1 hr before. If nausea persists may be taken with a small meal.

It suks cause they do make me feel like crap.

I have heard of people taking flinstones.

Green pee? Geez that explains a lot. Mine looks like mountain dew, (sorry for the tmi). Lol

If they really really bug you, talk to your ob. Maybe she can get you a different kind- or just put you on a multi-vit like me &.Bridg! Getting the nutrients you need for your baby shouldn't be a miserable task, lol.
