My wife has lopus and we would like to
know how long can you live with lopus, a
good friend of mine wife had lopus and
past on so we would like to know ty

My mum has lupus? And was told she would
be in a wheelchair after being diagnosed
in 1991 and was told she would be in a
wheelchair after 10 years. She has still
not been put in a wheelchair and the
doctors are fearing i might also have the
illness because all the problems she had
as a child i have been diagnosed with.
They wont test me untill i am 18 which
means i have 2 years to wait untill i can
be tested. What should i do?

Lupus isn't a death sentence. I believe
people can live fairly long lives with it.
As the other poster commented, her mom
still isn't in a wheelchair.
Kim, all you can do is wait. The disease
is hereditary and there's nothing you can
do to prevent it.

sun.or really hot.
she gets sick all the time.
we can NEVER go on summer family vacations
anymore!

My mother is 77 years old and my sister is
50.
They have Lopus and none of them is
sitting in a wheelchair.
They have some pain and my mother cant eat
so much anymore, but they have a good
life, and for my mother they pumped her
with medicin, she got ill of these many
medicins but now she only takes
painstillers like Codymagnyl and other les
stonger medicin and she does her shopping
and cleaning her self.
My sister is still working with
bookkeeping and travels a lot.
I think Lopus has many different types and
not all will end up in a wheelchair.
I hope you all will have a nice life
afterall.
