Anxiety Or Something Else? Posted: 11-22-06 02:06am
In may 2005 I started getting sharp pains
in my right handside and aches in my
groin. After a scan of my side and
testes I was told there was nothing wrong.
The pains went on for a year and then
stopped.
In july of this year I went to a & e
as I was experiencing pains in my chest.
I was admitted overnight and in the
morning after being given a nitrate tablet
I collapsed and woke up in
resuscitation.
Anyway after 2 more days in the hospital
and various blood tests and being on an
ecg, x-rays and having a wire pushed up to
and around my heart I was told there was
nothing wrong with my heart or arteries, I
was released.
Since this time I have experienced all
manner of ills including problems with my
bowel movements e.G constipation &
diarrhea; headaches, feeling flushed in
the face, tiredness and pains/ aches in my
back, chest, stomach and left arm.
I have had blood tests, urine tests and
even a stool test with all okay. My
liver alt level is a little higher than
normal but my doctor is not worried.
My doctor tells me to forget what happened
in a & e and to just get with life but
I am a worrier by nature so it is not
easy. As each ache or pain develops I
worry more.
In the morning within 10mins I feel my arm
aching - it then goes off - and throughout
the day I have aches and pain in my back,
chest and in my sides.
From what I have read on the forums and on
various websites I may be suffering from
anxiety.
I would appreciate some feedback from my
post. Perhaps some good person can help
reassure me.
Thanks

Dont worry I have posted many forums, and
I dont seem to get a reply either.. Lol
your aches and pain seem like its
associated with anxiety. I have the
weirdest pains in the weirdest places,
mostly on my left side. Like I had posted
in other forums the mind is a powerful
thing, and it is what really controls
everytihng. I get really bad tingliness,
numbness, muscle weakness and pains all
down my left arm and side of my left rib
cage, and it honestly freaks me out, but I
have a very close friend who suffered from
panic disorder, and she has honestly
helped me out alot. She tells me that it
is cause by anxiety. My jaw also hurts
from time to time. I hate having this
problem. And if its not controlled
properly it can literally take over your
life.

I had all sort of wierd symtons and
probably drove my doctor nuts but she was
very understanding. Even was sent for a
full cardiac evaluation and came out just
fine. But still I get the intense
tension, binding accross the chest, back,
tingling, gosh the list goes on... Many
of the symptons you have. I'm skowly
learnnig to live with it but I would never
have imaginged that tension and panic
attacks could have so many real physical
symptons!

mind,anxiety is caused by many
things,including stressed,post traumatic
experiences,and many others,it really is
scary when you think your body is just
going to shut down, the best way to get rid
of anxiety is to try and relax!!!!Even
