How Soon For + Blood Test? Posted: 11-22-06 12:38pm
Ok well heres a quick detail of my story.
I stopped my birthcontrol this month. My
first day of my last period was oct 30. I
didnt start the pill again. On 11/12 I
got ov cramps and we had sex and he
ejaculated inside me. I've pretty much
been cramping ever since. Mostly it feels
more to one side then the middle. My
boobs are sensative now, although I have
implants so I can't compare how they felt
last time I was pregnant 5 years ago. I
have lots of saliva, gas (i never have
gas) and today lower back pains.
I am not due for my period for a week but
my doc went ahead and ran a qualative
blood test yesterday, the one that gives
yes or no, and they said it was no.
He said to take a home pregnancy if I miss
my period. Is it that he tested to early?
Why would I have these symptoms and blood
work be neg?? Oh and my bbt was at 98.6
this am.

It may have been a tad to early for a
blood test but my guess is that he is
right. When you come off birth control
pills/patch/ring whatever your cycles are
going to be messed up for a while. I just
stopped using the ring in may and I
remember that I had all of the pregnancy
symptoms that month b/c my hormones were
all over the place. I think I would wait
until a few days after you think your
period will come and then test again with
a hpt (home pregnancy test) hope that
helps

It was to early more then likely. Hoe
long were you on bc? I was on it for
about 1 year and it takes a whole mounth
to 6 weeks to get all out of your system .
That is what my doc told my. Or are you
on the shot?

When I was on the pill it took me about
six months off of it before I could ever
get pg. I do hope he's wrong though.
