Now, since I don't eat oatmeal and it's
getting chilly out i'm looking for an
alternative. I used to heat up grape
nuts or kashi with soy milk. Some of you
may know that during my 1 st & 2 nd
attempts of phase 2, I was eating grape
nuts or kashi's 7 grain nuggets. While
these products contain healthy grains and
no sugar, they are also highly processed.
(a discussion with my doctor helped me to
fully comprehend that fact).
So what could I do? Give up a warm meal?
After much contemplation, I found a
healthy whole grain alternative. I take
brown rice (already cooked) and heat it up
with soy milk (unsweetened), vanilla (i
found a natural vanilla extract in the
health food store) and a dash of cinnamon.
It tastes almost like rice pudding!
