No I never had to do it either. I'm sure they only make you do it if you are at risk of or they suspect diabetes

Yeh maybe they just test us if we show signs of pregnancy diabetes, otherwise they probably think its unnecessary.

Bit Different
When I had my glucose tested (before I was pregnant to rule out diabeties) all I did was the doc told me not to eat one day and then to eat the next day and they took blood (that was a terrible week too because they were testing me for all sorts of things to figure out why I was so sick

im sure its different then when you are pregnant (i guess ill see in like 10 weeks or so though) but just wanted to share that

the testing has to do with diet. Considering the majority of .Americans eat .A) fast food (blech!) .B) a diet high in carbs and processed foods and .C) not very many veggies.

If you eat processed foods alone, your weight will go up and your health will naturally go down. Fresh is best.

Even if you aren't obese, you can suffer health problems due to lack of nutrition.

My family doesn't eat boxed food and rarely fast food because it has so many chemicals and preservatives. If you eliminate preservatives from your diet, you will naturally feel better.
