Dumb Question From An Insecure Male
Posted: 02-01-04 12:56pm

Hello,

first off, I apologize because this question is not immediately related to female sexual health. I do sincerely respect the function of this forum in that way and do not wish to compromise it. However, I have a question related to a big male insecurity. You guessed it, penis size. This is more of a curiousity question. I'm about average down there (5 3/4 to 6 inches depending on excitement level and proportional girth). I've read in tons of places that size doesn't matter and it's how you use it. Having said that, all sexual position books describe positions that will allow deeper penetration or make the male feel bigger inside the woman, implying this is definitely a good thing. Likewise, my past girlfriend preferred positions that she said made penetration deeper. I asked her straight out whether a longer penis would feel better. She sheepishly conceded that it would. This was near the end of the relationship that I asked this so she might've been trying to piss me off by saying this. So my question is, what is the ideal penis size? It's likely different for everyone woman, and the answer won't change what i've got, but i'm fascinated to know. If I had to guess I would say bigger than average but not big enough to cause pain. I'd appreciate a few thoughtful replies Confused

Honestly I think that 8 inches is perfect. But I would take a 5 inch guy that knew what he was doing over a clueless 8 incher any day. Actually, width matters more than length. Hope it helps.

All girls' opinions are different. I do not prefer big ones at all. 8 inches is not for me. I was with a guy like that and I never liked it. My hubby is about the same as you and I love it, I wouldnt have him any bigger. He asked if he should be bigger and my answer was no, I love him like that and hes the perfect size. I think it depends on what woman you are with. The right one will love it as is and no...Size does not matter at all. I think you are fine and maybe the girl you were with was a bit loose, so she could not enjoy it as much. But I think your size is average and its perfect!

I have to agree with nikki....Its not about the size. It is about how the man uses it. Some womens perspective of it is different.

Alot of women like myself cannot take a big penis without experiencing pain.I would say you have an average size penis and she probably did say it just to get at you.

Size does matter! No, one of us cannot say that it does or does not matter, becuase it is only a personal preference. For me, it definately does. But I must agree with the person in the first post. If you have a nine inch penis and do not know how to please a woman then what is the point? I am not a promiscuous person or anything, but I have had small men and large men. The largest was between nine and a half and ten inches. Now, I have also had small and large who did and did not know what they were doing. Size does not matter if you cannot use it. But in my eyes, even if you are the best person in bed in the whole entire world, you have to have something to work with. I mean, if your penis feels like a long finger, then why don't I just please myself? Sorry if that was too graphic, but that is how I feel. I need to know with certainty that I am making love to a man, not a finger or whatever.
Anyway, point being, your penis size sounds fine, I have seen much smaller. And yes, a lot of women cannot have a large penis because of pain and infection and such. Although my perfect length would be about 8 or 8.5 with good girth, technically I should not go over 7 because of infections. But, that is what I like regardless.
Anyway, you will find someone who loves you for you and your penis will please her just fine. And maybe you two can use an occasional "toy" for variety.

Dont worry about penis size, if shes not happy then she maybe she was loose. I always thought that a good position is with the girl on her back and you hold her legs around your neck, that certainly adds length. Another thing is do it from the side with her on her side and you doing it as if it were doggy style. Sorry about being so graphic but you asked Wink

Loose, huh? When a girl is "loose" and has not ever given birth, if she abstains for one week, her muscles will contract back to the size they were before having sex. So, "loose" is only possible to be a temporary thing. So, if she was "loose" it would be because you two had a lot of sex, which would loosen her muscles, or she was sleeping with someone, but I doubt that.

You can do exercises to help the muscles.Just clench it and hold for a few seconds and let go,you can also do it when you go to the toilet wee a bit then hold it then carry on.It's good because you can do the exercises any where and noone knows you are doing it.It may help anyway.

Size Is Not Important...i Can Prove It!
Posted: 02-29-04 23:04pm

Relax friend...

The reason your woman wants you to go deeper has nothing to do with size. Assuming your facing her in some way and as you happily try to accomodate her and go "deeper" your pushing your pelvic bone against her clitorous. This induces climax in lots and lots of women. That's what she really wants. Maybe she doesn't realize herself, I don't know. But I do know that after the first two inches inside a womans vagina she doesn't feel much. If you bump into her cervix (easy to do in a man - behind position) she may feel that and not like it...But that's it. Good book to recomend "intended for pleasure" by ed wheat, md. See page 87. No one person can prove that size does or does not matter because it is a matter of preference. And I don't know who has been lying to you, but you can feel way more than the first two inches! And maybe she does like his pelvic bone on her clitoris or maybe she just wants it to go deeper! I am sure that she realizes exactly what it is that she wants. She doesn't need someone else telling her. Size does not matter to a lot of women but it does matter to a lot women.
Every women (and man) likes different things sexually and no one can say what someone else wants or likes. He will find someone who absolutely loves his five inches! But some women just want more!
Reading books and such to improve your sex life is fine and can be helpful, as long as you keep in mind that everyone likes something different. You can read as many books as you like, but if you start living by them, you may end up sucking in bed. Confidence is one thing (and is necessary) but believing that you are "the man" and that you can please any woman will probably fail you. Simply because to one woman you may be "the man" and do exactly what she likes when she likes it, but to another woman those same things may turn her off!
Honestly, do not worry about your size because five inches is going to make whomever you end up with for the long haul very happy. As you have read above size really does not matter to a lot of women. It is probably about a 50/50 ratio. So there are plenty of women out there who will be quite pleased with you. And the other 50% will either learn to love it(if they are worth it, and care about you) or if it is that big of a deal they will find a way around it.
I know that not everyone agrees with me and that is absolutely fine, but no one can say for sure that size does or does not matter, or "prove" it. It is a matter of preference.

I don't understand what htes(questioner) has to worry about really it's not like he is exactly small anyway. My man is about 8 inches and we can only do certain positions as it hurts.Everybody has something about their bodies they don't like, the reason I don't is because other people have scars, birth marks on their face and have birth defects so just be grateful with what you have been given and try to make the most of it.There are so many sex shops that giving or receiving pleasure should not be a problem for anyone small, medium or large.

You'll Just Have to Work a Little Harder, That's All...

I like a nice big one for aesthetic reasons--- however, the women in here that tell you it's how you use it are 100% right on. What is a turnoff however, is a guy that stresses over it. Take that energy and go buy yourself some kama sutra books or tasteful yet slightly raunchy porn videos and get to work! Be a good lover. Small peter or not, they're toughest to leave.

Hi there,

i'm the guy who originally posted here. Man, some people are really up in arms about this issue Smile actually, the whole "insecure male" line was kinda tongue in cheek. I really don't obsess that much but was a tad bit concerned and also interested in the responses I would get. I bet we've all played the game as kids where we pass a story around the room and see how it changes as it gets back to you. Well, as the posts continued I became more insecure in everyone's eyes and my penis actually got shorter! Ha! Thanks gals.

Sorry htes, I was trying to make you feel better! I mean, yeah, I like a big one, but there are a ton of girls who prefer an average one. (you are not small at all.) and as long as you have confidence and know how to use it, (which I am sure you do) you have nothing to worry about!

Htes you have nothing to feel insecure about the average erect penis size is 5/6 inches.Everyone has something about them that they would change but believe me you really have nothing to worry about just enjoy what you do have and be grateful.
