Hello :d

i've just found out that i'm 5 weeks pregnant (naturally) after 6 years of ttc with ivf, clomid etc!

I have a rather irrational question that I have to have answered or else I risk driving myself and my dh insane: I have a slight cold which is causing me to sneeze and cough; when I cough it hurts my pubic bone/tummy. Now I feel silly for even asking this.. But is it possible that deep coughing could dislodge my baby embryo? I've been searching all over the net for answers and can't find any (which tells me it can't be a problem or else there would be some info) as I said I know i'm probably being irrational but after 6 years of waiting for my bfp I can't help thinking something's going to go wrong! Anyone else had a cough? Or can anyone reassure me that i'm being a paranoid hormonal lunatic? Shocked

thanks very much!

Welcome to the world of paranoid hormonal lunatics Laughing

you are not alone so don't worry.
To answer your question, coughing, sneezing, jumping on a trampoline, etc can't dislodge the embyro.

Right now it is burrowed deep into the endometrial lining of your uterus.

You'll be alright, pretty much every one is scared that something's going to go wrong at the beginning of a pregnancy. Don't worry about the coughing! It won't hurt the baby.

Welcome to the world of worry! Your baby is safely ensconced in there and a sneeze or cough will not dislodge him or her. You may be pulling a muscle when you sneeze or cough and that may be the pain that you are feeling.
