I go for my first scan tomorrow, kinda
nervous. Glad i'll finally know how many
weeks I am and my due date. Think its too
early to tell the sex but i'll ask. Im
getting a small bump now, not visible with
clothes on tho.
Ive got no one to watch lucas for me so im
taking him too. Did anyone here with 2
close together take their first with them
to the scan? I hope they arent going to
be annoyed about it. Surely its ok to
just wheel him in the same room in his
pushchair. If it doesnt fit in the room,
they'll have to get a nurse or
receptionist to hold him I guess

pregnant again she took him to the first
to find out how many weeks and they didn't
mind but chose not to take him to the
other two because on btoh occasions he had
an ear infection and was really grumpy. I

Plus it might be nice for him to be
involved from the start even though he's
too young to remember but he might like to
lokk at the screen

Thanks michelle!
I know its ok to take people, its just cos
theres no one I can take who can hold him
for me. Be easier if he was walking so he
could stand next to the bed and hold my
hand or something. I dont want to need
their help.
Im still thinking about adoption so im not
bothered about lucas seeing it really.

Good luck can you scan the pics on so we
can all see? I think they can tell at 16
weeks what the sex is how far do you think
you are? Keep us all filled in!

Thanks claudia I think im around 3 months.
I wont be putting pics up I dont have a
scanner or webcam, and I dont plan on
getting one cos I wouldnt hardly use it so
its a waste of money, plus people steal
pics too often. I got 3 scan pics with
lucas' first scan so i'll def get some
this time too. Its so cool seeing them
inside, im excited now lol
danni I dunno about that. Last time I had
a scan at 12ish weeks and another at 20ish
weeks. They give everyone 2 scans
routinely dont they? In america they seem
to get more?

want to but some places charge and I want
to know the sex as soon as I can so I want
one between the one on the 18th and my 20
weeks

I had one at a clinic when I first found
out I was prego I was about 6 and a half
weeks, it was free but wasn't at a doctors
office it was a clinic run by a church
group. Then my doctors gave me one at 8
weeks, 19 weeks, and 33 weeks. I think
its different depending on complications
or concerns with your pregnancy, who your
dr is, your healthcare provider and things
like that. Some people from what I am
told only get one scan during the entire
pregnancy. At my drs they do a scan at
around 18-20 weeks and since they can see
it anyway.. If you want to know they will
tell you the gender. However if they baby
is in a bad position and they cant see and
you need to know, to reschedule the scan
just for a gender check is a good $80 and
to get those fancy 3d/4d scans that will
run you a good $200 dollars! They are
amazing, but way too expensive!

I think its good they gave u one at 33
weeks cos they can check everything is
developing how it should. They check
measurements, fingers, toes etc at earlier
ones but still from 20 to 38+ weeks is a
long time.... Did it hurt or feel more
uncomfortable at 33 weeks? Being so much
bigger.

My sister had one at around that time and
she said it was weird because her bump was
so big the jelly was sliding down before
they could put the scanner on! She had to
have one then because her little girl
wasn't maoving, turns out she was just
lazy

It hurt me at 33 weeks, she prssed pretty
hard at that point her but was already all
the way up at my ribs and she was in a
crawling position head facing back into my
spine. They couldnt see her lil girl bits
again I was kinda pissed, but they told me
at 19 weeks that it was def a girl.
