Hpt Turning Pos. After Time Posted: 02-01-04 18:03pm
Why does an hpt turn pos. After a certain
time? I know it doesn't mean i'm
pregnant... I'm just wondering why after
like days or weeks it turns pos. What
makes it do that?

I don't have any idea? I have always
just pitched mine like an hour later so I
don't ever see that...
That is very interesting though...

Evaporation Line Posted: 02-01-04 23:50pm
Your hpt can look positive when you try to
read it past the allowed time because
there may be an evaporation line. The
urine goes past the windows and picks up
the pink or blue dye that makes the lines
pink or blue when it detects hcg in your
urine. It can dry and leave faint lines
where there would be lines normally.
Whatever you do don't read an old test.

Sparkletots is right, u should never read
an old test.
Just out of curiosity how long did wait
and check the test and get a false
positive.
Oh and has af showed up yet
from someone who cant wait to have a jelly
bean all of their own

I know not to read the test after so long.
I just wondered why. I found a test from
a week or so ago. It's just weird because
none of the other brands that I had did
that. I tested today and got a bfn. I'm
due for af 2/4.

And why do pos. Only stay pos. For up to
48 hours but you can get a false pos.
After you read the test past the time you
should wait?

I just know on the box it says they only
stay pos. For 48 hours. I wish I would
just get a pos. Right away! i'm
hoping that I don't get af tomorrow...
I'm really not stressing so if I don't get
af by 2/6 i'll know something's up. I'm
such a nerd... I've got my names picked
out. Haha. I guess it's not too weird
since a lot of women think about it before
they even start having sex.

they are in my keepsake box, still pos. 3
months later. I think you should switch
hpts. What brand are you using?
