Why Can't I Eat the Foods I Used to Be Able To? Posted: 11-27-06 21:55pm
I used to be a fast-food junkie, and by
'used to', I mean a few months ago. At
that time, it didn't bother me at all to
eat that kind of stuff. Lately, whenever
I eat things like kfc, mcdonalds, burger
king, hot pockets, etc.. I end up with a
horrible feeling in my stomach, sometimes
accompanied with heartburn, gas, and
feeling like at any moment i'd need to use
the bathroom.
Because of this, my weight is now at about
111, and i'm like a toothpick, and I just
hate feeling scared to go somewhere
because my stomach might act up. Also,
my diet now includes mostly rice, soup,
macaroni and cheese, and stuff like that.
I'm working on eliminating soda, and just
seeing if eating more bland types of food
eases my stomach. I guess i'm better
off, because all that fast-food probably
would've only given me a heart attack 40
years down the road anyway, right? Haha.

I think it's nice that you're improving
your eating, specially because fast-food
is very harmful. Those foods cause me
huge diarhea as well! :s

Bland Stuff? Posted: 05-02-07 12:37pm
sorry, to hear about your tummy troubles;
but haven't we always known that fast food
is bad for us? Why don't you try keeping
a food journal and tracking how you feel
after each new thing. Also, dairy and
grains (mac n' cheese, etc) can cause
diarrea. It's not a bad idea to eliminate
a few things from your diet at a time and
see how you feel. I would also reccomend
eating more fruits and vegetables, start
bland and cooked through and work your way
up to the harder to digest raw variety.
How do you do with a plain boiled potato
without the skin, or a few pieces of
papaya? The best thing I can suggest is
to educate yourself about foods and the
way they treat your body. The book The
Cure by: Dr. Brantley is one of the best
I've found yet! Hope your symptoms
improve!
