Feeling Blue

I'm sorry your family's so crappy hon. I kind of understand because I pretty much just deal with my mum and one of my nephews. Our family really isn't that close (that could be cuz they're all loony tunes)

I've fallen completely out of contact with my mother. She wants nothing to do with me or her granddaughter. This is well known by my friends and other family, so they always ask if she's reached out (like during .Thanksgiving). It always hurts when I have to tell them no... Like reopening a wound or something. So I somewhat understand.

Yeah I kinda feel the same way, I want my daughter to know her daddy's side of the family but I doubt she ever really will because everytime I try to contact them my mother in law tells me that she is going to take pooka away from me.....What a............B.L.I.R.P.

My brother in law will be around again soon...That should be funnnnnn....But anyway I have some of my family and they are great.

My father is from czech republic and all of his blood related family besides me are over there. My mother has no aunts or uncles and I have one aunt, my family is very small. Not only small but also dysfunctional so I don't really speak to most of them. That's why friends make the best family and I hope you can find someone to brighten up your holiday. My mom is such a scrooge she hasn't even celebrated christmas in a few years because she just do sent see a point anymore, the only reason I will see her around the holiday is because the baby is coming. The babies father's family keeps in touch with me and they want to send me and the baby some things for the holiday and his mom says she will come and visit by the new year, they have a huge extended mexican family!

I know what you mean. My so called father dont have anything to do with his grand daughters but my son he was paying mind to up intil 6 months ago now he is too stuck up his psycho wifes butt or he is drunk acting like a college kid falling down and driving his car threw fences

I don't understand how some people can be so cruel. How can a woman cast out her daughter in law &especially her own grandchild? It's so ridiculous. Everyone needs family. I love you girls. <3


.My side of the family isn't too bad. It's .Chris's side that sucks. They basically don't like me on bit, &they were pissssed when they found out .I was pregnant. They don't like .Chris, either. He's so different from all of them. They haven't called in months. Chris called his dad to tell him the baby was a boy, &his dad was like "oh, well that's cool. Congrats. But hey .I'm on the other line .I'll call ya back later." .Never called back. .They didn't even invite us to .Thanksgiving! Oh well. His dad, stepmom, &grandpa are not very nice people, &if that don't want to be nice to us, then that's fine. They won't get to see .Gabe. I wouldn't trust them with my son, anyway. It does suck, though. They have no reason to dislike me. I've been nothing but kind &polite towards them.

Ok i'm not alone, but it sure feels that way sometimes. A lot of my "friends" are kind of messed up so I have fallen away from them as I have grown in a different direction since being pregnant. My exes family is around but his parents are not "typical" they smoke weed and his mom always calls to see if I have $ for her and etc.. They figure because I have a good job I can help them. Hellooooo i'm the one who worked my ass through school. Blah I just feel blah today.

I totally understand how you really feel.

Alot of people knows that I have a son but they don't make a trip to see me or anything. Also.. My own father knows that I have a son but he doesn't give a damn if my son wants to see him or not so it kills me everyday. My son doesn't really know who he is so yeah.. Whenever hes around he would stick with me til we go home and I don't want my son to do that I want to know all of his grandparent and it sucks.

Before .Hurrican .Katrina, my dad lived close(still didn't call) but lived near.
His ole lady and her child come from .Michigan and stay until .Katrina hits.
Once it hits, they pack up and leave for .Michigan. I've talked to him mayeb 5 times on the phone since .Katrina (about a year and some change) i'm his only child and he doesn't seem to realize that.

He's too wrapped up in his *new* life. I had to practically beg him to give me away for my wedding. He says he can't move back because his ole lady is scared of "bridges and water"...Which basically make .New .Orleans, .New .Orleans...Ya know?

I haven't stayed in touch with my dad's side of the family since my .Nonnie died about 5 years ago. They all live in .Donaldsonville(da bayou) and i'm in the city.

Baron's mom's side of the family is effin snotty. They're cool people, but have something to say always. They're very very nice people though.

Baron's dad's side is wacked out!! Let me tell you. His aunt is in jail again for trying to kill her daughter(baron's cousin). She went to jail for 10 years on a drug charge a while back...
His daddy and his brothers are nuts. They are the craziest people i've ever met!!!

I only have 2 friends. One's a mom, and one isn't. But she loves my daughter like she's her own!!

I have to bite my tongue more and more everyday...So I sometimes wish that we could spend a holiday alone and to ourselves...

Lemme say you need to smack a b*tch.

Im not gunna say *forget her* cuz thats ur mom and all... I know its hard. I have a horrible relationship with my mother, and I wish I didnt. My best friend has a *great* relationship with her mom. Im jealous. But my mom and I are like oil and water when it comes to getting along.. Mainly because we both are such opinionated people and we clash like you wouldnt believe. She always thinks shes right, and im never wrong... So it works out **fantastically** :smirk:

i hope one day your crazy ass mom comes to her senses.. If not, .Trey will grow up great anyway cuz he has a great mommy raising him.

I totally understand what you are saying! I am always glad when the holidays are over! My .Mom has been gone for years! My .Dad's funeral was a week before .Christmas in 1993 and all my step mother cares about is her grand-daughter and great-grandson who have been in nothing but trouble, she has even cut everyone else out of her will, she cut my sister and I out as soon as my .Dad past away, all sshe is is an alchoholic. I have my kids but they are grown and have lives of their own but they do call but it is not the same but at least I have my husband and my dogs just like you have trey, hopefully you will meet someone that is special in your life so you will not feel so down on the holidays. Have you ever thought of moving to be close to your .Mom or visa versa or one of you taking a holiday just to visit and if you can afford to go then you can check things out.

Yeah I would say that it's a bad thing......If loosing everything you have because of it then yeah it's a bad thing.

But yeah I am a little blue because this is the first christmas without my husband in a long time. Eventhough brandon and I have been really happy together I am still missing shawn. It's hard....And I feel like my baby is missing out on a lot of memories that we would have had together. But at this point all I can do is make life the best I can for her with or without his family.
