Kids By Different Dads- Your Opinion?
Posted: 12-01-06 15:45pm

Just wondered what everyone's opinions were on people having kids with different fathers? (no i'm not planning on doing it anytime soon before you start Wink )

do you think it's bad or ok? Do you have a 'half' brother or sister? How has it affected you?

Opinions please ladies! Smile

I know that I am going to get bashed for this but I believe that in devorce cases it's not such a good idea becuase a lot of time the children get the feeling that they aren't loved as much.

In the case that the parent that the children doesn't reside with it's a lot harder on the children. Because they come to visit the parent on vacation or over the weekend and such but they have their other baby or child all the time. I think that it's harder on the children.

However in sitations where the parent has passed away then yes it's fine.

Why would you get bashed .Gen? Oh yea, cuz some people dont realize that it's an opinion!

I, personally don't care. I live in .New .Orleans, it's bookoo common!! Hahaha, says a lot huh? But anyways, I personally wouldn't go sleepin with people and having different baby daddy's..

But if the parents divorce and move on, whatever. It's just a new peron in my life. My dad is re marrying to a woman who had a baby when they met. So she's not my dads, but he treats her as his. I am a little jealous. But hey, whatever, right?

I agree with you .Gen. I just want to know other peoples opinions.

*my opinion*
if the father has no access to the child/ren at all (for whatever reason) then it's fine but if the father of the first kid/s still sees them then it's unfair to split them up on visitations etc. You also have the issue like .Gen said of one feeling more loved than another cause there dad is 'better'

i wouldn't have anymore kids cause of that reason but if neil ever stopped seeing the kids then I would.

I also have a 'half sister' (different dad's) but I don't see her as anything less than my 'full' sister. Mind you there is 17 years between us and I have never known my dad

they are rather cute but i'm biased.
My mom is supposed to be sending me some pics of them both - don't hold your breath though - she can be a little long winded on these things.

My dad had three boys from his first marriage and when he re-married he and my mom adopted only girls, me and my sister, because my dad didn't want the boys to feel like they were being replaced. I really dont' think that they felt that way but.....Divorce is hard on children....But now my brothers dont even call my dad on father's day....How horrible is that.....It hurts my dad very much.....But I know that wasn't what you were asking....But I think it seems like to some children that their father/mother didnt' want them as much as they did with the new guy in their life. You know I think that it's really hard on children.....Wait until they are 18 before having anymore kids. I think that would be the best thing to do.
