I dunno. I should because it will probably lift my mood, but I guess i'm just too lazy. Plus our tree is a really dinky plastic one that looks all weak and sick. It's almost more depressing than no tree.

Same here! My mum goes by the old saying of if you put it up before 12days before christmas is bad luck and you can't take it down untill 12 days after christmas

Her family have always gone by 12 before and 12 after dunno why I always thought it was normal. My sister house however looks like santa's grotto plus I think she's blinding the house oposite her

I really don't like this new trend of decorating the outside of houses for christmas. A few twinkling lights is pretty but when you've got a huge .Santa and sleigh and an inflatable snowman and god knows what else, it just looks tacky.

there's a house a few blocks from here that goes all-out on .Christmas decorations! Their house is always done beautifully though, and the guy will actually dress up as .Santa and sit on his roof waving at cars Laughing it's really nice! I plan on bringing .Aly by one day to see!

But I know what you mean about tacky decorations. Wink

It is nice to just walk by when you have young kids in the family and see them get excited by what someone has done but personally I won't be doing it myself perhaps a sign saying please stop here santa in the garden

I usrd to know the family that owned .Mammoth mountain (a ski resort area) they were very well to do, they lived in .California by .Bishop they always had a bunch of beautiful scenic decorations, I would not have liked to pay for their electric bills those months but it was always the same thing year after year, darn rich people, one of the churches around here had a tree of lights but it got to be so expensive with having to hire security and people were ripping them off anyway, it was reaal nice though, thry had a bunch of scenic booths even my dr sang in the choir a couple of nigh, he did a lot for the church and for the kids. I probably will not decorate this year. My .Son is in iraq and my .Daughter will be working and will probably go to her b/f parents house for christmas so it will probably be just my .Hubby and me and my two dogs and the cat, we will brobably just go to this buffet as we have a gift certificate from them. I will miss the smell of the christmas tree but it is just to hard for me to cook a big meal. I am just a scrooge this year with not much holiday spirit, lol. I even have my christmas shopping done, except for the dogs.
