Someone Help Me Please!!! Posted: 12-03-06 21:23pm
Can someone help me. I am a 17 year old
high school senior. I have the terrible
headaches every day. My symptoms besides
the pain are nausea, dizziness, weakness,
and blurred vision. My doctor "thinks"
that they are migraines but I dont have
the usual symptoms of migraines. These
headaches come on suddenly and wont leave
for days ive missed so much school because
of these headaches that im worried I wont
graduate. I also get sharp pains in my
head when im struggling to pass a hard
stool. My headaches feel like somebody is
taking a knife and stabbing me in my head
over and over again all day long. Ive
tried over-the-counter meds but they dont
work. Other then headaches I occasionally
get really cold. Even with the heat on I
get sooo cold that I start to shake. I
shake so violently that it looks like I am
having a seizure. Im begging and pleading
and really desperate for some help. This
is ruining my senior year.

I just wanted to respond quickly. You
worried me when you said that you get the
pain when you are passing a hard stool. I
work in healthcare and have seen alot of
people who pass out while taking a poop.
Usually it is the elderly and they are so
forceful and have so much trouble passing
their stool that their heart rate drops
and they pass out or have a cardiac
arrest. It may sound silly, but you have
a major artery or vessel or something down
there and all of that grunting and pushing
without breathing can be harmful.
Sorry to hear of your problems. Have you
tried to cut out caffeine and/or
chocolate. Those are my headache/migraine
triggers. Or maybe you have other
triggers that you don't know about yet.
Good luck.
