Breastfeeding Question

.I am not pregnant again. Just making that known.

okay, with that said! Mr.
Green

if you are breastfeeding a child when you're pregnant with a second, would your doctor make you stop nursing near the end? I ask because I know nipple stimulation can bring on contractions. Would a doctor be concerned about breastfeeding bringing on early labor?

These are the things I think about when it's 2am and I can't sleep... Confused

I asked my midwife this question and and she told me that you wouldn't have to stop breastfeeding as you would only go into labour when you were ready to. Nipple stimulation would not bring on a labour that wasn't due to start anyway. Also, the milk would change back to colostrum for the new baby so the older child may go off the taste of it but if not, it would not affect the feeding of the new baby. That's what she told me anyway so I assume it's correct! Wink
