I have a 5 year old that has been
diagnosed with a seizure disorder. He
has been having seizures since he was a
baby without a known cause. It was
initially believed that he would grow out
of them, and actually went 15 months
without one (on no medication), then out
of the blue a few months ago started
having them again. In a matter of 30
days he was hopsitalized 4 times with
multiples of: febrile, clonic-tonic, focal
and partial seizures. At one time during
his hospitalization he had to be moved to
the icu and quit breathing during one of
the focal seizures. On top of the seizure
problem, he is also adhd. By the time he
came home from the hospital he was on 6
different medications (depakote &
trileptal for the seizures). It has been
almost 3 months since his last "major"
seizure (classified as one that has
actually been seen) and now, out of the
blue, he is showing the affects of having
seizures without us seeing any (constant
trembling, constant headache, upset
stomach, tiredness, vision problems where
he cannot control his eyes). After a
trip to the nuerologist and the
pediatrician (an an emergency room visit)
we were told that there wasn't anything
they could do. He has had every test they
could give him and nothing ever shows up.
He is in kindergarten and because of all
these problems won't succeed to first
grade.
What other options do we have!

has me on 200mg of tegretol I dont start
it til tomorrow which is sept 24,04.
The last med I was on for my seizures was
nerontan. My doctor told me that the
tegretol is the best med right now for
seizures. I went to him the 23rd of
sept to get my eeg done. And my brain
waves are adnormal. I thought that I
was goin in and out of my seizure. I
have been zoning out like im in a dream
and cant concertrat on my work right now
i'm a cashier. I also started to get
really bad head aches. I have two kinds
of seizures grandmal seizure and epalciy
seizure..My dad tells me a lot of stories
about when I went into my grandmal
seizures..But the question I have is what
are the symptons for when you're about to
go into a grandmal seizure? Are there
any symptons for goin into a grandmal
seizure? My dad told me that I tried to
swallow my tounge alot when I went into
them. I recently got married on august
14th of this year and my husband doesnt
know what to do if I do go into a seizure.
So what is he suppose to do if I go
into a grandmal seizure? Please write

symptons are so I know if im goin in a
granmal seizure and what my husband can do
to help me til the ambulance comes? I'm
so scared to go into a seizure please try

thing im not very smart for my age I feel
so dumb cuz I cant comprehend anything
specialy big words and im so embarresed
about it.
how can you get seziures by getting the
wrong vaccine from a tetness shot anyways?
And now I have brain damage because of it
and it's im
surprised that I even graduated from high
school.
