Omg! I was at my parents this morning
picking up .Adriana when we heard that on
the news! My dad and .I couldn't believe
it!!!!!! That's terrible! The so called
day care provider should be shot, and you
really have to wonder also...Who would
leave their child in that kind of
environment?

Oh .Jesus .Christ.
That's the scariest thing i've ever
read!
Do the parents *not* smell the liquor when
they pick their kids up? I'm sure this
isn't something she only does every so
often....
I think it's not only neglect of the
woman, but of the parents that overlook
the stentch of alcohol....

That's what .I was thinking, .Mandi..
What parent in their right mind would walk
into that house &think it was ok to
drop their child off there? It's still so
sad, though. That poor little girl..
&that poor family.

Open containers of bleach in the bathroom.
Butcher knives within reach on the
counter.
This goes way beyond having one or two
drinks to relax. (which the b|tch
shouldn't be doing when she's watching
children in the first place.)

As long as we're on .W.I news, today a big
factory blew up from a gas leak, in
.Milwaukee. There were something like 30
injured and 1 missing. There were a
couple in surgery, and then .I heard there
was 1 death. I don't know if they found
the missing person, and that was the
'death' or someone that was injured, and
getting medical attention. *shiver*

That's all I could think about when 9/11
was happening. I saw the second crash
live on tv, and kept thinking "oh .God,
what if people are still alive under that
building??"
when I saw the preview for that 9/11 movie
they made with .Nicholas .Cage and they
showed them pinned under all of that
rubble, I started to cry. I refused to go
see that movie, and will not watch it when
it comes out on tv.

Yeah, .I have mixed feelings about making
a movie about something like that. It's
not exactly a memory people want to be
reminded of. Yet it shows how our country
can come together. I dunno....I haven't
seen it, and don't know if .I really want
to or not.

If you leave your child in a filthly home
with garbage, razors and bleach strung
about - not to mention alcohol bottles, do
you fully expect to return to a child who
isn't damaged in someway?
I feel the most sorry for those children
who have been subjected to someone for
that amount of time every single day.
Imagine how terrible it must be for them
to have to sit with a drunk in filth for
8+ hours a day while their parents work?
Yet, somehow, parents will still leave
their kids with people exactly like that
woman. that is the sick part.
***also sick and should be inprisoned for
her life is obviously the sitter
herself***

baron works in an oil refinery....This is
something I have to face everyday when he
walks out of the door.
About a month ago, the vessel he was in
exploded 5 mins after he left. Not
something I liked hearing.
But, when your man's job is on the # 5 of
most dangerous jobs in the world...It's a
risk you take. The money is good....

This is exactly the reason .I will not
leave my child with anyone except close
relatives. The only people that have sat
with my daughter are my parents, my moms
best friend (she's my 2nd mom, and she
watches .Adriana at my parents house) and
my sister in law (for a whole 20 min.)
it makes me sick how she got away with
having a house in that condition!! My mom
used to be a certified day care provider
and she had to have x number of
inspections in a certain time frame,
included pop in visits when you have no
idea they are coming. Each child had to
have their own sleeping area, and she had
to have planned meals, she had to send in
her menu....There was a whole lot of
specifics involved, and it just blows my
mind that this woman (if you can call her
that.
) wasn't turned in!

.I completely agree, .Laura. &.I
think it was way too soon to make a movie
about it. Even though it was 5 years ago,
the memories &the experiences are
still way too fresh in some peoples'
minds. I refused to go see it, &.I
don't think .I will see it when it comes
out.

I was reading through that article
wondering if the child's parents would
comment, but they didn't (at least not in
that article). Did they have any idea?
(how could they not?) and if so, didn't it
set off warning sirens in their heads?

The last I heard in that factory, their
were three deaths and that was earler.
It is horrible out there, some of the
things you see and inspect and shut down.
People have no common sense, even in a
regular house, it is horrible!
Edited to say in some regular houses it
can be horrible!

They've made bookoo(tv)movies(real
footage) about .Katrina and it's *so* hard
to watch. I mean watching, literally,
everything I know go under
water....Heart breaking to say the
least.
9/11 is something that a lot of people are
coping with, as with .Katrina. I know
that i, and my family will always be
scarred.
I think there was no reason, besides
money, for them to make the 9/11 movie.
If you wanted to see it, you could've
easily turned the tv on the discovery
channel. It's an emotionally terrifying
experience that should not be mocked by
actors.
New .Orleans is nowhere close to recovery.
It's a gut wrenching sight...But, of
course, we're all numb to it now.

I still remember 9/11 like it was
yesterday.
I woke up to .Aaron on my answering
machine saying "i know you're asleep.
Wake up and turn your tv on. It doesn't
matter which station."
the first thing I saw was people jumping
out of windows from the second tower,
before it was hit. I was in shock that
people would leap to their deaths. Then
I watched the second plane hit. I think
I threw up.
I was visiting family in .Boston when
.Hurricane .Rita hit. Aaron was still
here in .Louisiana. I got a call from
him the night before it hit saying he
couldn't get out because traffic was so
backed up.
And I didn't hear from him again for
days.
That's a feeling I wouldn't wish on my
worst enemy. For all I knew, he was
dead. God, .I'm crying just thinking
about it.

It is horrible,it seems that hardly
anything that happens that is horrible
they see a way to make money out of it.
Did you here about them finding the guy
that took off to find his family some help
that got stuck in .Oregon, they found the
family alive and okay but they found the
.Father dead today at about 12:30 in a
drainage area, he had taken off to find
help for his family. That is so sad when
you set off to do something good and you
die, it just goes to show you you never
know.
You know .Krissy, I would not even go see
that movie and I am not pregnant and I
have been in a war and I have seen all
sorts of bad things, I feel that I am
already upset about 9/11 enough and it
would just upset me more!
A friend of mine showed me some pictures
of .Louisiana a couple weeks ago how
.Louisiana looks still, it is still
horrible!

pictures do no justice.
You'd cry if you saw it in person.(i know
you said you spent some time in .New
.Orleans)
uptown: destroyed, demolished, and ruined.
Burbon: still in good shape. Not mch
damage.
The .Super .Dome: destroyed.
