Did anyone go into the delivery room and
have their baby alone? Some of my family
members and friends are pushy and want to
be in there, but I really want no one.
Did anyone go at it alone?
Who went to classes that prepare you for
birth and who didn't? I don't want to do
these, and I think most women don't, but
if most of you guys went then I better go.
Do these classes actually help and make
a difference?

I was wondering the same thing, .T. About
childbirth classes &whatnot. You're
supposed to schedule them in the 7th or
8th month, &.I'm almost 7 months, but
.I don't know if they actually help or are
necessary. My best friend said she went
&it was a complete waste of time. But
.I've had other people says they went
&it helped a lot. I dunno what to
think!

I never did any classes, the nurses though
I did when I was delivering my son lmao
but I was like eh no I just watch baby
storie and stuff daily lmao. My husband
and my mom were in the room with me when I
had my first, my dad was at the hospital
but he was in the waiting room. My other
family memebers never came up to see me or
anything they waited till I came home. It
wasnt too bad, this time it will just be
my hubby adn the german nurses. Im sure
the nurses coach ya through the labor too
though and let ya know what to do if u
feel lost or anything so classes arent a
big deal, I never had the time for them
with my first because iwas working andnow
I have one kid but I dunno if they have
classes here in english anyways but I dont
think they are really neccessary

Chris & my mom were in the delivery
room with me, and at our hospital, you
have to attend a class before you leave.
They do that with everybody here. It
lasts about 45 minutes.

I didn't take any classes. About the only
thing I did was take a hospital tour. The
hospital I gave birth at only handles
pregnancy and birth, and it was a
brand-new facility. It was sooo nice!
There were tons of people that wanted to
be there, but I was only comfortable with
my husband being there. If I didn't have
him, I think I would have been okay
because the nurses were so unbelievably
supportive. The lactation consultant was
awesome too. Compared to the last three
months of my pregnancy, labor/delivery was
pretty pleasant!
My husband was actually getting on my
nerves a bit. Every time a contraction
would hit me and I would start trying to
breathe through it, he would say "are you
okay?" and I mean every
time. So after a little while I
snapped at him "hell no, .I'm in labor!
Shut up!"

I didn't do any classes, the nurses talk
you through it anyway. I don't really
think they're necessary, your body knows
what to do and will do it without too much
help from you anyway. Your body knows
when to push. It's an overwhelming urge
that blots out everything else.

Kay, that's exactly right! I remember
feeling like I had to poo, right then and
there. I kept telling the nurse I was
about to poo on the table, and at one
point I was convinced I had halfway done
it already. But it was the pressure from
the baby's head.
If you push like you're going poo and keep
your face relaxed, you won't pop any blood
vessels. Helpful tip from yours truly!

i popped mine (in my eyes, the were
dracula red) anyway cuz .Chu's head was
too big and too hard to come out. I
needed help. When he came out the
doctor's were like what because his soft
spot was the size of a quarter. It's
completely closed now.

Wow! Was he past his due date or
anything?
i was really careful not to stress my face
at all, but my vagina tore sooo badly~
for my next labor, .I'm going to push when
I feel like it, and not rush it like I did
last time. The nurses kept telling me "go
again, harder" etc. She was out in 9
minutes and I was so messed up downstairs!
I think I would have been okay if I had
taken my time.

No according to my doctor I had another
three weeks to go and shouldn't have had
him anytime that week because his lungs
supposedly weren't developed. I kept
telling her that her math was off bcuz I
knew when I last did the do and he should
be due middle/end of may. Guess who was
right? Yeah, me. I kept pushing so
hard because his head hadn't changed
position for a loooooong time. I was
begging for help like either a csection or
forceps or something. After the blood
vessels in my eyes burst they got the
vaccuum and pulled him out. I tore to
heck and back and his collarbone was
broken.

I took classes with my second baby, but
not my first or third. It really did not
make much difference in the labor. The
nurse tells you everything to do anyway.
If you want to do it alone, I say go for
it!
