3 Weeks!
Posted: 12-09-06 18:35pm

Well, .Jenny is 3 weeks old tomorrow.. And I think she's changed loads since she was born! Her face is getting chubbier, and she's definitely piling the weight on.. Not surprising really, she eats like a little horse!!

I've taken loads of gorgeous pics of her.. And as i'm not feeling very well today I thought i'd post some more of them to cheer myself up. I'm such a proud momma Mr.

Thank you so much for your comments girls! Mr.

no i'm not breastfeeding her.. I tried, but she couldn't get the hang of it. I was expressing my milk for her, but she eats so much now that it's painful to express so much because I have an evil breast pump that hates nipples Neutral

She is absolutely scrum!

Hey, at least she got your very first milk, .Zanny, the colostrum will have helped her no end. Don't worry about not being able to continue, as long as she's growing and healthy that's all that matters. You're doing a fine job!

Zany shes sooo cute. Did you think of renting a breastpump? Thats what I did, it is like 20 dollars a week I rented the symphony from medela its great I love it. There are also herbs you can take, I just bought these drops called more milk somethingerother all natural and you take a 1/4 teaspoon 4 times a day, I also started to go to la leache league meetings and the women were so helpfull.. Im afraid im going to have the same problem. Its so hard to pump every hour or two.. Plus feed the baby formula and breastfeeding then pumped breastmilk.. Sucks its not so easy for some of us

I know, it got too hard to keep up with all the expressing.. I bought a breast pump, but it wasn't the best one because initially I thought i'd only be using it every now and again when I went out. It's so frustrating to express and nothing comes out.. That's what was happening by the end.. It was fine when she was only taking 1oz of milk each feed, but now she takes 3oz every time and my boobs couldn't keep up with it! I've seen sooo many different people about breastfeeding, but it's not that i'm doing anything wrong.. It's just that she can't do it.

My milk has dried up now, I stopped expressing a few days ago. I'm fine with bottle feeding her.. It's really not the "evil" thing my midwives made it out to be!

Good luck with breastfeeding/expressing for .Jana.. I hope everything goes ok for you!

She is a beautiful girl! I can't believe your midwives made bottle feeding out to be evil..That's silly. There is nothing at all wrong with bottle feeding. Brest feeding is hard, I know it was for me. I started bottle feeding ethan the day we got home from the hospital. I expressed with a breast pump also, but it started to hurt really badly, so I stopped.
